ART HUB

The school has set up a centre for art activities to expose Riverlites to the different art forms available. Riverlites are able to enjoy the exhibitions and activities held in the Art Hub. Artworks of Riverlites will also be displayed during Arts Week.

The Art Hub will be opened every Monday on Week 3, 4, 7 and 8.

  • To expose pupils to various genres and cultures of music and dance and inculcate cultural awareness in them.
  • To engage pupils in the making of music and dance and to provide them the platforms to further develop and explore their interest in these areas.

Music Instrumental Programme

During music lessons, pupils in the different levels devote one to two terms to learn to play music instruments or create

music on various platforms.  Pupils learn to play various instruments such as handbells, guzhengs, cornet, electronic keyboards and many more.  By having the authentic experience of playing on instruments, pupils are able to try out the practical aspects of musical concepts and to creatively engage in the art of performance.

Term 2 Recess Performances
Our Primary 3 and 4 students put up musical performances in Term 2 on Wednesday, once every two weeks.

Mass Dance and Fitness
To promote dance as a form of fitness to the students, our Riverlites participate in a Mass Dance and Fitness session once a month. They learn about different genres of dance and enjoy dancing as a form of exercise.

Dance Programmes (P4, P5 and P6)
During Physical Education lessons, pupils in Primary 4 to 6 devote one term to learn to a form of dance.  Pupils learn different genres of dance and explore movement with music. By having the authentic experience of dance, pupils are able to experience practical aspects of dance, movement and to creatively engage in the art of performance.
