BRIEF OVERVIEW
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art, characterised by its emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques. It requires a good sense of reaction and concentration force, correct centre-of-balance of the body and good breath control. Thus, through Taekwondo student will develop resilience and discipline in training body and mind, building their physical coordination and mental discipline. It provides ample opportunity for students to learn to handle challenging situations effectively. Taekwondo will also build a confident student who has a sense of right and wrong and develop a sense of responsibility to manage the skills learnt to be used as self-defence. It will also serve as a platform for discover and nurturing of interests and talents, forging friendships and building social cohesion.
